Kenton Wildcats fell to Ada 9-8 on Saturday on the final play of the game. The game was tied at eight with Ada batting in the bottom of the seventh when L Dalton hit a solo homer.

Despite the loss, Kenton Wildcats did collect seven hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Ada had 12 hits on the way to victory.

Ada opened up scoring in the second inning when K Sizemore homered on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.

Kenton Wildcats knotted the game up at eight in the top of the sixth inning. Brynn Butler hit into a fielder’s choice, scoring two runs.

Kenton Wildcats tallied three runs in the fifth inning. The offensive onslaught came from doubles by Lacie Nichols and Jasmine Reisinger and a triple by Emily Pees.

Ada scored four runs in the fifth inning. L Waugh, B George, D Robinson, and Sizemore each had RBIs in the big inning.

Dalton took the win for Ada. The ace went seven innings, allowing eight runs on seven hits and striking out 12.

Ada smacked four home runs on the day. Waugh went yard in the fifth inning. Dalton put one out in the seventh inning. George went for the long ball in the second inning. Sizemore had a four bagger in the second inning.

Reisinger went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Kenton Wildcats in hits.
